Lenovo's Legion Tower 7i Gen 10 is a high-end prebuilt aimed at strong 1440p and even 4K gaming, with an RTX 5080, Core Ultra 7 265K, 32GB of DDR5, and a 2TB SSD for $1999 with free shipping. The price is framed as solid because the 5080 alone was near that level at launch, and the system includes warranty coverage and easy bloatware removal. Real-world reports describe cool operation and smooth play in Cyberpunk and Ratchet and Clank. The main knocks are the modest 32GB RAM, the Intel CPU versus faster gaming-focused alternatives, and limited upgrade flexibility from Lenovo's proprietary board and memory setup, making it a capable but somewhat locked-down tower.

Computer novice here...the $2000 build looks comparable to the Lenovo build for $50 more, but its sold out at my local store and online. Do you think the Microcenter deal is worth waiting for a restock, or would you consider the Lenovo offer comparable?

I would wait and check even open box everyday the micro build IMO is much better less locked down for future updates too you also get the amd the intel isnt bad by any means but the 3D chip will rock gaming a bit better

The specs are pretty underwhelming for the ram and cpu. I would research which 5080 is in this pc as well.. they vary in performance.but for someone that can't build their own machine, you can't really go wrong with peace of mind with Lenovo. Just don't expect it to be top line real world results in gaming
You can absolutely expect top line real world results with this. I'm not sure what your playing, but if this PC can't handle it then your more of an enthusiat than a gamer. That's fine. Just don't downplay a system this powerful.

The $500 extra is for jumping from 5070 to 5080, which is a good deal as 5080 can do 4K gaming at high settings.
