it's been this price for months though... i've been tracking 5060 laptops. i even went to the store to play with it. the keyboard is really weird. the lenovo legion or even loq is superior in that regards.

I just ordered it. The display is a 45 percent NTSC panel; given the price, I'm fine with an average screen. I'm unsure about the build quality and durability, and I'm hoping it turns out alright. Anyone who owns a Victus, please share your thoughts.

Really? I searched "5060 laptop" SD and don't see anything brand new that's around this price range. Seems like a decent deal considering the 4060 staples deal is $650-$700ish depending on location. :/

The staples deal seems to be better on cards. It has a bottleneck

I don't own a Victus, but a lot of experience messing with gaming laptops/checking out build qualities. The current generation both Omen/Omen Max and Victus from HP feel pretty good to be honest. Like the Victus is definitely a small step down from a LOQ in terms of body flex, keyboard etc feel but it's dramatically better than MSI and ACER. I would say pretty comparable to a ASUS TUF 16 honestly.

Only reason I wouldn't get this, is because for $800 some microcenters have the 15.3" Legion 5 for 800 and I would rather have that over this all else being roughly equal. You downgrade the CPU, but better build quality, a better (I think) screen, and better keyboard.
