Great deal, but doesn't seem like after market toner will work and OE toner is expensive.

Sure, toner is $400/ea. But they're for 8800 prints and 16000 prints (color & black), so ... comparatively speaking, prints are dirt cheap on this. That said, if you need a scanner and color laser and all that, it's reasonably priced at $525...

This is a very commercial-oriented printer, made for a 50 person workgroup type arrangement, not a home printer for a few prints a month.

Translation: Fairly reasonable price per print, and smaller quantity - cheaper.

Something else to consider…

Since this is a business class printer, the warranty from Lexmark is 1y onsite, next business day. That means after going through tech support at Lexmark, they'll send a business tech to your house with parts and will fix and test the device.

When I look at the warranty link on Amazon, I see " Manufacturer's warranty can be requested from customer service. Click here to make a request to customer service." so you may be able to get manufacturer warranty.

It has a single pass duplex scanner on the automatic document feeder and you can use it to scan to duplex on your desktop; the scanner is only up to 600dpi enhanced but that should be plenty for office work.

List price on Lexmark.com is $1049 so even with a 30% employee or friends and family discount you wouldn't get it cheaper than the Amazon deal.
