1. If you're currently active, it'll just add 12 credits right away, no extension. If you're not active, it'll add 12 months.
2. No, gift cards cannot be used to paid for memberships.
How is $8.83 per movie a deal when the most expensive ticket is $9. We buy gift cards from Costco at 20% off and go when the price is $5.25 which makes the ticket cost $4.20. I was looking for another way to bring the price down.

So, if you are on a monthly membership, will it convert to annual when you redeem this?
Better to ask what their expiration date is, have them cancel, and send this on the date after their expiration so they can get a full year's membership, not just 12 credits.
when u go on the weekend, each ticket can go up to $17.50 per ticket. And that is the base price. If u see premium format like HDX, price is $21. This movie credit ($8.79 each) covers the entire $17.50 and u only pay the upcharge fee of $3.50. Which in the end only costs $12.29 instead of $21.
When I lived in a city that had expensive movies this pass made a lot of sense. When I moved to the BFE, not so much.
I doubt there are 12 movies a year worth spending $9 on.
That's the beauty of this program. If u're not a member, u receive 12 months member and u will get 1 free movie credit each month. You don't even have to use the free movie credit until there's a movie u wanna see. The credits stay forever in your account until u want to use it.

will the unused tickets stay in your account after the 1 year membership expires (should you choose not to renew)?

That I do not know as I have always used up all of my credits and renewed each year whenever there's a 20% discount like this. This is my 3rd year I buy this 12-month membership. I bought 24-month right away. I have more than 30 credits now lol
They don't usually pause, but they did have a Lite membership for like $6.50 or so a month, if I remember correctly.
You can pause. It's the first option when you tried to cancel. The second option is Lite. The third is cancel.
When he meant was applying the gift 12 months when adding or renewing the membership. The gift 12 months will apply first and your first billing date is a year from applying.
I just sent this to myself as a new member. When I go to accept, I get an error that the promo code does not work and it's asks for my cc info to checkout? I also don't see any promo code fields. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
It took me like 20 minutes to figure out how to redeem this ahh, anyways you have to select the Monthly plan NOT Annual and it'll show up the Promo Code field. You're required to input a credit card to redeem it. I uploaded some screenshots.

Actually I don't think this is true. I just used up 2 movie credits for a matinee movie, a XL large popcorn, and it just uses up the credit.
