great, thank you
If you're going with 1440p, get a monitor that can do 144hz or better, as this card can drive that.
At 4K, it should get around 60fps and might need some settings tweaking.

I know the non K skus are less likely to fail but man it still has a chance (albeit small). This is a great deal, even compared to the Cyberpower with 8700F and 7800XT, but I just don't want to take a chance like that. Better PSUs are an easy drop-in replacement and will last a long time. This socket won't.

oh nice, that's a steal for $100. You'll probably see the full 180hz on a lot of really great AAA games.

I was looking at building my son a gaming PC. He plays Fortnite competitively (XPL) and is on PS5 right now.

I was going to build one with a Ryzen 7 7700X, Radeon 9060XT 16gb, 32gb RAM, Gigabyte X870 gaming mobo.

Would this be an acceptable alternative? Are there any shortcomings that could be upgraded in the future?

Just bought one, i'm not even a gamer, but costco cyberpower with 4060 was $889, this was a no brainer, I guess i can use the gpu for video editing instead of games....

A gaming PC is 90% the GPU. Unless there's a massive mismatch, CPU doesn't really matter much.
This has decently better GPU, so is the better gaming machine.

Been wanting to get into pc gaming, would this be a good start? Not too knowledgeable about the internals.
At this price, best bang for your buck in this price range at least.

I have an i9-14900KF and 4070TS (Ti-Super) in my setup and its an easy 100+fps @ 1440p on every game I've thrown at it with maxed settings. I can't imagine the pc in this deal would be a whole lot less capable, especially at 1080p gaming.

The only thing I'd look into is how good the thermals are, see what common complaints are.

how do you know if this purchase was eligible?

NM. I see the 20% pending points on the transaction. Thanks. You got me off the fence of buying
