This Acer Predator Orion refurb is a strong-value gaming desktop built around an i7 14700F and an RTX 4070 Super, with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. The 4070 Super is the standout, with comments calling out solid 1440p performance, around 60 fps at 4K with settings tweaks, and enough muscle for many AAA games. The listed price can drop to $899.99 with a coupon, and the 800W power supply is a welcome detail. Main cautions are the limited LGA 1700 upgrade path, possible thermal and refurb-condition concerns, and the fact that heavy local AI workloads may want more VRAM.

Lower front fan is not lighting up, possibly not running..
Not in retail box. I assume these are returns
gonna keep in the box till we see the actual BF and CM deals.

Mine arrives Tuesday.

the top case crack is superficial, but there had to be a decent force to do it, as this tower is very solid and heavy.
the bottom front fan is functional , but the RGB is not working on it
I would like to see someone's inside top of the case, where the USB connectors are, because mine looks like someone hot glued a cable connector to it and the metal is bent in that area.
you might get lucky and get something in good shape, but you should inspect everything immediately. Refurb at some places just means new products that didn't sell and they need to price below the agreed upon channel pricing.. but these are clearly not that..
From looking at Acer's feedback on ebay.. the monitors they ship out are often damaged (with no visible damage to the shipping box) and the bases are cross threaded.. and not necessarily damage from shipping.. the cross threading, would be the previous owner.. ie , they leave the facility in that shape

Boy, that's terribly disappointing. I'm sorry it came banged up. Seeing as you got yours before mine (mine only just shipped), I fear that you would have been potentially receiving from better stock than what is in the back end if there were any new-ish ones to send out.
I had seen posts that a lot of experiences with these were just as you said - labeled refurb to sell below pricing channels without underselling their own products. But that doesn't seem to be the case here. Fingers crossed for everyone else.

Ha! Mine was nearly the same way. Just received it 10 minutes ago.
The PC itself is PRISTINE. Not a mark on it. As brand new as I could ever expect a PC looking NIB. But, likewise, it was in a cardboard box with custom bubble wrap and the tape was halfway cut through. It was pouring today, too. Thankfully my FedEx driver pounded on my front door hard enough for me to hear her all the way from the toilet.
Powered it up and it looks awesome. I feel bad for the customer that got the dinged up case and faulty light. Seems like that was one that snuck through. This one is as new as new can be.
It's a 300 bucks more but it's 4070 Ti Super, which is much better card. The Ti is a whole tier up for the 4000 series. I heard Legion are built well too.

But honestly, in terms of graphics performance, a 5060 ti < 4070 Super < 4070 Ti Super

Do you think this is worth $90 more over the current deal?

But if you can get a prebuilt for a 4070 ti Super from a reputable brand for $1,000 you should get it, especially with 32GB of RAM. The 2TB SSD is a bonus.
