No, it wasn't. If it were, then please provide the links to those deals, as it would be more helpful than commenting on assumptions.
The ones you're referring/recalling are the Intel Core Ultra 258V and 255H, and the Ryzen 9 (non-HX) with 24GB RAM, models.

Matches what Microcenter had it for last year. They've stopped selling it for a while now. Display was nice but the chassis was a bit flimsier than I would have preferred.

It depends, 1200p OLED on a 14" is perfect for the majority of people. 1600p or above on a 14" is overkill for most. People have reported the screen or text being grainy, but I am not sure it was these VivoBooks or the ZenBook 14s.
