If you order this, try to keep the original box and packing materials. It is extremely difficult to repair otherwise.

A good option if this is either perfect for you, or you want to try this setup with Best Buy return policy. But only keep it if it's perfect for you. For me, that's matte. The economy is still going to be weak, have patience. Monitors have no storage and no RAM. The two things going up.

What's the difference between this version (CG) and the $150 more version also on sale (DG)? Couldn't find anything with google off the bat.

Found: "The primary difference between the Samsung Odyssey LS49CG950SNXZA (G95SC) and the LS49DG934SNXGO (G93SD) models is that the G95SC is a smart monitor with Samsung's Tizen OS and glossy screen finish, while the G93SD is a traditional "glare-free" (matte) monitor without the built-in smart TV features. "

C is the 2023 model, D is the 2024 model. 95 comes with smart TV features, 93 does not. IMO, 93 is better because the smart features are really slow and somewhat buggy.

Good option for a racing sim setup but otherwise not super practical except for niche use cases IMO.

If the 45" 5k2k LG display was anywhere near this price I'd rather have it I think, much more usable screen for everyday use and still might even be better for the sim with the extra height but still wider than normal.

Glossy is pretty but I am also team matte. G95SD owner!!

Woot has the LS49DG956SNXGO on sale for $1199. (Amazon and Best Buy both have it for $1300, saying that's discounted from $1900).

Anyone has recommemndation how this $850 deal in Bestbuy compares to the $950 deal in Samsung.com? Both are 49'', but samsung.com has 3 year warrenty.

This is the 2023 model vs the Samsung deal is for the 2024 model. However there is not much difference between the two. It's the same exact panel with minor improvements.
