I have one 65in Hiense TV at home and 2 at my shop since 2019. The 2 at the shop are ON 9 hrs/day. My customers always give complement about the picture quality. Those are the cheapest TV at that time, $480/ea. I really surprise that it last that long.

My barely used 4 year old Hisense just died. Tempted to get this but concerned about reliability and longevity.

Picture quality on my Hisense is good, but sometimes I get full TV audio dropout where I have to reboot the TV to get any sound at all out of it. And sometimes it does "vampire" wakeups, where when I turn the TV off it turns itself back on, usually the second stake does it.

My PS4 's video loses the outer few pixels along the bezel on my Hisense too, and I haven't figured out how to get the Hisense to display the whole picture. Games are still playable, but I can see I'm missing the outer edges of the game.

I'm sticking with TCLs for my low cost sets. They aren't perfect either but they don't make me as angry at a TV as I have been with my Hisense.

And what was the price difference between the 2?

LEDs are disposable, you're not going to get 10-15 years like tube/plasmas, but you're also not paying nearly as much either.

I have an old Panasonic plasma too. Cost me $2500 back in the day. I would but 10 of these for 30 years of coverage. The pany was a great tv, but has darkened and also weighs 100 lbs so I hate moving it.

I have 30-40 of these across a few short term rentals. Amazing for the price. I store a few in the garage in case a few get damaged by guest. NEVER going to beat the price for the quality. It's not amazing, but for average viewer it's perfectly fine.

I actually liked the Android TV version better since we have youtubeTV at the rentals and it's easier, with this you have to press the youtube tv app every time. With android TV it's on the home screen.

I picked up used TVs on CL. Quite a few Panasonic, TLC, and Sharp TVs made it to this stage of life (+7 years). No display anomalies.

Anyone calling LED TVs disposable even at the low budget price range are farking dumb. I still have an old ass SONY and Samsung that are 720P, and 1080P Westinghouse, all budget tier that are still running strong after more than a decade. I still also have two 1080P JVCs that where $128 from a previous Black Friday a number of years ago now that I've been using as security camera monitors, and they've been at it 24/7.

I have a Hisense I bought 4 years ago and I leave it on all night every night since day 1 and works flawless. Now in the living room I have a top of the line Vizio now that pos died after a year and a half.
