It's a great meter. I believe it is the entry level Fluke with ammeter function. I've had one for a few years and love it. Great price also, It rarely goes for much less than $100.

Didn't see model 107 listed on Home Depot site.
Pictures show this thing is tiny shirt pocket size. Look at pictures before ordering.

Entry level only? original price over $100? any extra special function other than Harbor Freight one?

Entry level into a professional range of multimeters that are revered for their precision. Higher models in this range sell for way into the thousands of dollars.

...but yes, an $8 Harbor Freight meter has the same functionality as this one.

Back in the day, Fluke was the undisputed top gun, but after owning 2 of them where the display's went bad and Fluke refused to fix them - I said FU Fluke and bought cheaper units with more functionality. 30 years later the Fluke's are still messed up and the Craftsman / ebay / local hardware store stuff is still running, corroded batteries and all.

I don't think this is true RMS. If I catch a 117/116 on sale I'm buying in a heartbeat.

For those wondering if fluke is worth the price- this will be the last multimeter you need to get. This thing will survive long enough to give to your grandkids. Additionally, it's accuracy is second to none. If you just need to see where ~12v is vs. 120v or what wire is hot - any harbor freight or off brand multimeter will do. If you need accuracy and want to ensure safety even if you stick the leads where they don't belong - fluke is the way. It will give readings you can trust, very accurately. It will handle the voltages it reports (and much more) without worry to safety. You will never need to think "is this value correct?" When reading micro electronics. Whereas a generic meter can have you guessing and buying a few parts extra "just in case".

There are dozens of fluke models. Future proof yourself by picking a model that does everything you need + more. Some are oriented for electricians, some for telecom work, some for high power etc. that's my only gripe with fluke - too many great choices lol.
True RMS is necessity for me though.

Thanks for the info. I occasionally get stuck with odd waveforms. I want at least one quality multimeter around the office whose readings I can trust. This allows me to verify odd readings taken with a cheap multimeter. If this is neither cheap nor 100% accurate (with odd waveforms) then I too will wait for a true RMS model.
