The Fluke 107 is a pocket sized entry level Fluke multimeter that stands out for accurate, trusted readings and a compact shirt pocket form factor. It is praised as a solid meter for checking voltage, hot wires, and other basic electrical work, with comparisons showing readings that closely match other meters. The main caveats are that it is not true RMS, may be too small for some buyers, and Fluke support and warranty expectations vary by model and manufacturing origin. A capable compact meter if you want Fluke precision without stepping up to a larger pro model.
home electricians and office techs who want a trusted, pocket-size meter for verifying readings because commenters say the Fluke 107 is accurate enough that you can trust the values and use it to confirm "odd waveforms" or results from a cheaper multimeter.
people who want an entry into a "professional" multimeter without paying for higher-end models because commenters describe the Fluke 107 as an entry-level Fluke with precision and say it rarely drops much below $100, making this kind of sale price feel like a strong value.
people doing basic troubleshooting like "where ~12V is vs 120V/hot wire checks" because commenters say if you only need to see where a voltage is (not true RMS/advanced accuracy), a cheaper meter is sufficient and this Fluke is mainly worth it when you need accuracy and safety you can rely on.
military/veteran shoppers who can buy through shopmyexchange or similar channels because commenters report tax-free pricing and an extra 10% off when purchasing that way.
buyers who specifically want a small shirt-pocket meter because commenters warn it's tiny (shirt-pocket size) and advise checking pictures before ordering, implying it fits that "carry it everywhere" use case.
hobbyists who expect Fluke to be backed like older Flukes because commenters say Fluke support/warranty has changed, some models are made in China, and buyers may need to research and spend more to be confident the company will back the specific product-otherwise the "disposable" risk is higher.
buyers who need true RMS for odd waveforms because one commenter says they don't think the 107 is true RMS and would wait for a true RMS model if they're dealing with non-standard/odd waveforms.
buyers who might not verify the exact listing/seller on Amazon because commenters report needing to select the "Amazon" seller to get the deal price and also share a cautionary tale where a higher-priced Fluke order arrived as a lower model with no box and signs of wear.
people comparing against Harbor Freight specifically for features like backlighting because commenters note the Harbor Freight multimeter isn't backlit, implying the Fluke's small feature set may matter if you're expecting that convenience from cheaper alternatives.
shoppers who are price-sensitive and just want the cheapest working meter for around-the-house because commenters say a free/cheap Harbor Freight meter is good enough for typical home use, and suggest other Flukes only for more precision work.

Pictures show this thing is tiny shirt pocket size. Look at pictures before ordering.
...but yes, an $8 Harbor Freight meter has the same functionality as this one.

For those wondering if fluke is worth the price- this will be the last multimeter you need to get. This thing will survive long enough to give to your grandkids. Additionally, it's accuracy is second to none. If you just need to see where ~12v is vs. 120v or what wire is hot - any harbor freight or off brand multimeter will do. If you need accuracy and want to ensure safety even if you stick the leads where they don't belong - fluke is the way. It will give readings you can trust, very accurately. It will handle the voltages it reports (and much more) without worry to safety. You will never need to think "is this value correct?" When reading micro electronics. Whereas a generic meter can have you guessing and buying a few parts extra "just in case".
There are dozens of fluke models. Future proof yourself by picking a model that does everything you need + more. Some are oriented for electricians, some for telecom work, some for high power etc. that's my only gripe with fluke - too many great choices lol.
True RMS is necessity for me though.
