These are rechargeable 1.5 volt lithium AA batteries aimed at devices that need full voltage, like smart locks, Blink cameras, and game controllers. The constant 1.5 volt output can help where regular Eneloops or alkaline cells fall short, and the price looked attractive for testing a niche use. The main cautions are that lithium cells need the right charger, may not give a low battery warning, and some review photos raised fire concerns. There are also reports of listing confusion and wrong items shipped, including AAA batteries instead of AA.

  • These batteries reportedly use a 1600 mAh capacity that corresponds to 2400 mWh when factoring 1.5V, which clarifies the label math.

  • These rechargeable lithium AAs can maintain a 1.5V output until depletion, which may help devices avoid early low-battery behavior.

  • The micro-USB rechargeable lithium version reportedly powered Meta Quest 3 controllers longer than Eneloops and regular alkaline batteries.

  • These batteries reportedly can work in devices like Blink cameras when paired with the requested 5V 1A charging setup.

  • Orders reportedly may arrive as AAA batteries instead of AA, and the listing may shift to a micro-USB version that complicates exchanging for USB-C.

  • The listing and battery labeling reportedly show conflicting energy figures, with battery labels stating 2400mWh while the description also mentions 1600mWh.

  • Fire and explosion concerns reportedly appear in reviews, so checking review photos is advised before purchase.

  • The batteries reportedly are not NiMH cells and can burn up a charger if inserted into the wrong charger type.

Says "2400mWh" on the battery. It says both "2400mWh" and "1600mWh" in the Amazon description. I'll assume "2400mWh".

Going to give these a shot. I have a smart door lock that won't work with regular rechargeables due to the voltage being too low.

Exactly my plan! Even fully charged Eneloops won't power the lock.

All of the reviews showing exploding batteries are for the yellow version with the USB-C port in the side. This deal is for the black version with the port in the top.

The only negative reviews for the black version say that they might be hit or miss as far as quality control goes and that people say that they might not hold a charge for very long.

1600 mAh (milliamp-hours). Not the same as 2400 mWh (milliwatt-hours). 1600 mAh x 1.5 volts = 2400 mWh

One is mAh and the other is mWh.
1600ma x 1.5v x 1h = 2400mWh.

USB chargeable lithium batteries tend list mWh and must be converted. OP listed the more common mAh conversion.

These are not NiMH cells. They will burn up a charger if you put them in.

These lithium cells have their own use cases.

I'm just imagining the look on the fire marshals face when it's explained that these has the black usb-c port in the top
