Got one of these and the touchscreen stops working every few minutes, after which I have to manually go into Device Manager to disable/enable the touch screen.

Bought it last year. It's been ok. If you're using a powerful program or site like ChatGPT a lot it will slow the computer down.. I've been using it a lot and really wish I had bought a more powerful computer. If you're just browsing the web, and maybe not constantly using something like ChatGPT then go for it
I'm confused. Isn't ChatGPT a web UI for a cloud service? Shouldn't this function just as well as, for example, a streaming service?

Yeah. Makes no sense. ChatGPT including the installed client is just a web client. Unless they are trying to run some LLM locally.

Yeah, that makes zero sense. Unless your PC is running an on-device LLM, the hardware is mostly irrelevant when you're running requests over the web or in ChatGPT's app. Some people have no clue how these LLMs work, and just assume "AI hardware" will somehow make it faster.

It's possible there are a bunch of other apps running and slowing down the app's presentation, but all the work is being done by ChatGPT's datacenters.

610M. It's RDNA 2, and should be slower than a Steam Deck.

This is a Zen 2 quad core, one of those misleadingly named CPUs. It's similar to an updated 4300u with a process shrink, but performs closer to a 4500u in multithreaded tasks. Not bad, but it's definitely lower end, as far as AMD chipsets go.

That doesn't state whether it supports two way charging.

can i charge via usb-c port?
Did you carefully inspect each product image?
Could also msg Acer on eBay (chat).

Perhaps this icon on the dc hack and on the usb-C mean the same thing. 💡

The picture quality is OK ...rather dim and it has a sticker stating Full HD 1080 put when you check the resolution it turns out to be 1536 x 864 but for the price it's an OK deal.
The screen is full HD, check your display resolution settings. FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS Touchscreen Anti-Glare 300 nits, ComfyView, 45% NTSC, 60Hz. So, the color gamut is terrible and the brightness is fairly low, but it is full HD.

I think you're onto something. Some quick Googling seems to indicate the symbol represents DC power. I'm unclear if it inherently means input/output but it's worth noting that I have 3 older laptops that don't charge via USB. All of them have this symbol by the power jack but not the USB ports, despite the USB ports being able to charge devices plugged into the laptop. This suggests to me that the symbol refers to power input, at least in this context.
