I bought the 64oz one that was on sale at Sam's a few months ago. I was waiting for the Ninja version to decrease but it maintained at $240 and it wasn't this size. At any rate I bought this one. It's a good slushy machine. It takes about 30 min to turn drinks into slushies depending on how cold it is initially. It is faster if you cool the drinks in the refrigerator before putting them in the machine. I like it a lot! I've made slushies out of apple juice, grape juice, mio using allulose (drinks must have a certain amount of sugar or this substitute to turn into slushies), and even protein slushies using my protein powder. I'm pleased with my choice. My next one will be with Gatorade!

I was interested in this, the Ninja is just very expensive, but reviews of this on reddit from people that used it are not great. Here is one thread i read on it.

Anyone know if these really freeze alcoholic drinks? Usually they don't unless it's like 80% sugar

So I tried chilled Gatorade at the minimum 16 oz setting and it took 10 min to make. The consistency was so thick that I had to add more Gatorade to help it go through the spout. The ready alert never went off but it was done in quickly and sort of stayed at the front of the machine.

I read the review. First the instructions tell you clearly you have to use sugared beverages and it sounds like the user didn't follow that correctly. Second I agree with the Gatorade comment but the reason is probably the salt content in the drink. I just added more of the liquid to help it pass through.

OK- I got mine today and it works fine and I am very happy with it, especially at this price. My only issue is that it is a bit loud. Anyone who says this doesn't work probably can't follow basic instructions.
