asus zenbook a14 from Best buy for $550. Similar performance and lighter than Macbook air. I've been loving mine as a regular laptop user.

I bought this computer several months ago at Best Buy on sale at the same price. I had to return a defective one, but I like the one I have. Very good battery life, sharp, bright screen, solid build.

No it's not upgradable, the Ultra 7 256V is locked to 16GB. You have to get a laptop with the Ultra 7 258V chip to be able to use 32GB.

How does this compare to the Acer Aspire 14 that is also currently $699 on sale?

https://www.costco.com/p/-/acer-a...?langId=-1

Acer Aspire 14" AI Copilot+ PC – Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 288V – WUXGA (1920 x 1200) Touchscreen – 32GB RAM - 1TB SSD

The Asus is a flip (I'm not sure if that functionality matters to a lot of people) and an OLED. but the Acer is an Ultra 9 (vs 7) and 32 gb RAM. The major difference seems like it's screen versus power?

Oh you do? if a computer isn't marked, how could you tell the difference?
EE here- Just wait for the weird glitches to show up, then it should be obvious. I've been burned by wonky AMD processors too many times.
