Fantastic mug, and highly recommended for clumsy or commuting people.
Lid screws on so it's extra secure. My only complaint is that the topper with the plug broke off, but it's honestly not needed.
Mugs of this style were all the rage in the early 90s; I never knew they were called "admiral's mugs". I had one I really loved - white ceramic made to look like the Northern hemisphere of the globe - and I was very sad when I left it on the roof of my car one morning. It was very stable, and the non-stick pad on the bottom was great, but when I got on the freeway it fell off and smashed into bits.
By that time, they'd gone out of fashion and I never did find a replacement. I might jump on this deal for old times' sake.
If you do buy one, be aware that it's not designed to fit in a cupholder - if you take it in the car at all, it'll have to sit on the dashboard. That worked great in the car I drove in '91 (except for fogging up the windshield on cold mornings), but wouldn't do for my current vehicle.

Don't take this in the car with you and expect it to fit any cup holder you may have. This mug was not designed for that.
