If your number isn't recognized as verizon or AT&T it won't work even tho it will say it's a success. It wont' let you add to cart.

I am not giving any price consideration for the phone line service as almost all of us are getting it just to get the phone.
Not to mention the hassle of porting in a number and porting back out with a risk of even losing it!
You can use it immediately if you port a number in to get the deal and get a second number and use that to make an account on the $25/m unlimited Metro plan. You activate the 16e on that account (you swap IMEI on the first account or port the number out).
This gives you a 16e, on ''T-Mobile'' for $155. That's not bad.
The cost above includes $14.25 to get a Visible $19 monthly plan using my Chase Visa card that was offering 25% discount on Visible. In less than 30 minutes I was able to activate Visible via eSIM on an old iPhone SE and get my port-out information from Visible to use on my Metro order. Then just remember to turn off "autopay" in the Visible app in case the port never goes through ...
Anyone know if I can get this phone and use it immediately with my T-mobile service, since Metro is a Tmo MVNO? (I understand I'd need to port a number in to get the phone)
Thx
You are paying $155 for an iPhone 16e.

Metro doesn't post it in the 'specifications' on their web site.
Then, make a new 'Bring Your Own Phone' account on the website. Enter the IMEI from this iPhone, pick the $25/m plan and you will have service for $25/m and the unlock timer starts again - you will unlock in 12 months, assuming you do that the day the phone arrives.

Guide if you want to use a Tracfone number for a qualifying port-in to Metro or T-mobile. Everything can be completed within an hour except for waiting for the port:
1) Carefully read this reddit post [reddit.com] on what info you will need to port out from Tracfone. The ZIP code is whatever you choose for the area code of phone number (may not be the same as your billing ZIP code).
2) Activate your existing phone as BYOD on Tracfone. It's free with eSIM or $5 to buy physical SIM. Buy the $15 / $10 with autopay plan. You will need a real phone to get the Number Transfer Pin (NTP code) for porting out.
3) Once your Tracfone service is activated on your existing phone, write down and save the port out information as specified in step 1.
4) Test your number at Metro with this deal. It should accept it as Verizon Wireless. If it doesn't, search on how to change your number on Tracfone, keyword MINC.
5) Strongly recommend writing down all the details you enter during Metro purchase. If you forget certain info like security questions or security PIN, you will be a lot of trouble.
6) Couple of minutes after you enter the Port In info, Tracfone will send you 3 messages to you warning you of the port out. Put aside for now, you will still have Tracfone service until you activate Metro later.
7) Confirm on the last screen for purchasing that the price is $150 + tax. If not, do not proceed or you will end up like CleverWeather6968's story
8) Once you get your Metro 16e but before you activate, log back into your Tracfone account and make sure autopay is off and your CC info is deleted. Or, you can repeat this process for another 16e. But eventually when you are done, turn off autopay and delete your CC on tracfone.
1) to fill out form after 3 months service
2) wait for GC while continuing to pay for service, so minimum pay for month 4
3) unknown processing time
4) have active service when GC is issued
Get iPhone 16e ON US.
Your phone is $99.99 via instant discount at checkout plus any applicable sales tax and ON US via $100 virtual prepaid Mastercard after your 3rd month of service. You'll need to pay for the first month of your plan (eligible plans start at $55 your first month & $50 with AutoPay). After your third month of service with your new line, you'll need to properly complete a form for your virtual prepaid Mastercard, which you can use online or in stores; no cash access & expires in 6 months. The Mastercard is issued by Sunrise Banks, N.A., Member FDIC, pursuant to license from Mastercard International Inc. Mastercard is a registered trademark, and the circles design is a trademark of Mastercard International Incorporated. This card may be used everywhere Debit Mastercard is accepted. Registration, activation, acceptance, or use of this card constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions stated in the Prepaid Card Agreement. This promotion is not associated, sponsored, or endorsed by Mastercard or Sunrise Banks N.A. Account must be active and in good standing when card is issued. You can get this deal on up to 2 lines. This offer isn't available if you're currently with T-Mobile or have been with Metro in the past 180 days. You'll need to verify your name & address to get this deal in stores. Like everything else in this world, this is available for a limited time and subject to change. See Terms & Conditions (including arbitration provision) at MetrobyT-Mobile.com.
1) Join Metro on a current plan starting at the $50/mo. with AutoPay, $55 for first month plan or add a line to your existing Metro account.
2) Bring your number and verify your identity.
3) Your iPhone 16e (128GB) is $99.99 via discount. You'll need to pay any applicable sales tax.
4) Receive a virtual $100 Prepaid Mastercard for the cost of the device after 3 recurring monthly payments on the current $50/mo. with AutoPay, $55 for first month plan. You can get this deal on up to 2 lines.
OP:
This is for the black, 128gb iPhone 16e.
So basically, they'll reimburse you for the $100 you spend on the phone upfront ($99) by giving you a $100 Prepaid Mastercard. They send the prepaid mastercard to you AFTER your third month of service (and the entire service will cost you about $155 in total, so about $55, $50, and $50 again for each month) Then, you can stick the phone in a drawer for 9 more months (so 1 year in total) and voila, it's unlocked.
Btw, if you're porting in a new number, they don't accept Google voice, mint mobile, numberbarn, or textnow. They only accept numbers ported in from AT&T or Verizon. NO T-mobile!
I saw on the other threads that apparently, InifiMobile website had the $5 one-month plan that works. Make sure you use the Verizon number, and not the T-mobile one!
