Not always. Sometimes im driving 6 hours each way to a remote site. One of the small towns does not have potable water. I carry 4 liters with me on those days.

All the sanrky comments. Perhaps the item pictured is not the most attractive. But in other colors this carrier looks very nice. I had one in black and received many compliments.

We don't all live in some 3rd world country where we need to drink from dirty faucets. If you carry a water bottle anyway, this is very useful.

Leaving your phone in the car is definitely an option. Unless you use it for workout music. Workout timer. Noting Reps. Or you have kids and you want to be reachable in an emergency.
