I left Spotify after they started pushing podcasts and have been happy with Tidal/Qobuz. Would not go back.

if you have a gmail account, you can add a + and a number to it and register as a new account, then just use a different payment method that you haven't used before and you will get 4 months free. so if your email is [email protected] just put [email protected] and it will work. gmail ignores the +2. just signed up using this method.

I switched to Deezer, Spotify started pushing too much AI nonsense and their song randomizer is pretty much broken in my experience.

Waiting for similar deal on tidal, they offer 1 month free for new subscribers but 4 months will be nice. Will keep an eye here!

Spotify is hurting right now because they're seeing subscriber losses due to their playing of ICE recruitment ads.
I bailed to Tidal for this and it's just as good and cheaper per month. Also they've got KGATLW if that's your thing.

I use google music and sometimes the play the absolute flattest sounding music, maybe made for TV videos. Does any of the other streaming services do this?

Spotify still does not offer a native app playing on HomePods, blows my mind. You have to airplay it which works but not ideal. Cancelled after 2 years with them and just did Apple Music.

Can I cancel immediately after purchasing without losing access to the premium features? I don't want to have to worry about it in 4 months

I haven't subbed (or really used Spotify) in a year or so and am being offered two free months, fwiw

The fine print: $0.00 for 2 months, then $11.99 per month after. Welcome back offer for Premium Individual. Redeemable by users whose Premium access ended over 30 days ago and who have not taken a welcome back offer in the last 24 months. Terms apply. Offer ends December 31, 2025.
but it says this on the landing page.

"Premium Individual only. Free for 4 months, then $11.99 per month after. Offer only available if you haven't tried Premium before. Terms apply. Offer ends December 31, 2025."

Weird, I paid using PayPal to ensure I can cancel easily.... why is it showing a $2 charge?

Spotify
Qty: 1
$2.00

Subtotal $2.00
Total $2.00 USD

Then cancel upon activation

How you listen will change
If you cancel, you'll change to our free plan immediately, and lose access to all subscriber benefits.

Hmm.. doesn't sound right

Spotify is devouring itself. By accepting and promoting AI content, to which it pays out no revenue but dilutes the money pool that all of the legitimate artists have to share which is based on the number of plays each artist has as a ratio of all of the plays on the platform. Artists are leaving in droves.

Yeah, you can.
no you can't it's month to month, if you cancel in the middle of month #1 your service will stop at the end of the 1st 30 day period. Cancel at the start of your 4th month, not 1st month.
