I left Spotify after they started pushing podcasts and have been happy with Tidal/Qobuz. Would not go back.

if you have a gmail account, you can add a + and a number to it and register as a new account, then just use a different payment method that you haven't used before and you will get 4 months free. so if your email is [email protected] just put [email protected] and it will work. gmail ignores the +2. just signed up using this method.

The answer I'm reading is in reply to a ONE MONTH Trial, not a 4 month. I'd be careful cancelling early on in the trial, especially on a service that bills month to month, often you'll only keep service on trial to the end of the CURRENT trial month, not until the end of the 4th month. But if I'm wrong, so be it, I'd just hate to see someone cancel NOW and find out they don't have access in 28 days.

I suppose I'm old. I buy mp3s from Amazon and use Plex to stream. These deals are nice to find new music to buy though.

There are different questions asked throughout those links, some with multi-month trials and the answers given is No, your premium will not end when you cancel, but when your trial period ends. But to be on the safe side, you can just set a reminder for yourself to cancel before the 4 months are up.

OK, if that's the case, fine, no issue. I just err on the side of caution with cancellation policies on a longer term trial run.

I'm not sure what your point is here, that kind of algorithm based curiated playlist has pretty much been standard on every platform for the past 15 years or so.

using your same email with the + option works FYI. i.e. [email protected]. allowed me to sign up for 4 months. Spotify allows multiple sign ins on the app so easy to create new account. Set a calenar reminder for 100 days from now to cancel so youre well before the billing date.

I just cancelled Spotify. It was getting near as expensive as YouTube music, and at least with yt music you get add free YouTube. Seemed worth it for the price upgrade.
