Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I read on Reddit that Chase cards won't work for Pay Later. But this is all new to me.

Just used this on ticketmaster. Seemed to have worked.

Anyone know if I make the rest of the payments now if I'll still get the points? or do I have to let it autopay over the next few months?

Trying to find a scenario here where I could do this buying just gift cards, I don't really need any big ticket items.

Best Buy/Target/CVS in strore buy $1250 of Amazon or Visa Debit cards and use Paypal Pay Later in 4 with saved Citi card?

Can I make all the $250 payments in 4, the same day?

You do it on paypal. Click settings, then payments, then auto payments. Remove ebay from the active list.

Careful to those making purchases they otherwise wouldn't, trying to maximize the 20%. PayPal is notorious for not paying out on cashback offers.

I've had to contact customer service multiple times with screenshots and receipts to show that I should have received cash back after using their offers. One time I was told I had to wait the full 14 days to see if it would go through before they would do anything about it.

Yes, you can do that.
* Initial Payment: The first of the four payments is due immediately at the time of purchase.
* Early Repayment: Yes, you can pay off the remaining balance in full immediately after the purchase. PayPal's Pay in 4 agreement allows you to repay the amount you owe in full prior to the last Repayment Date, without any fees or charges.
How to Pay Off Early
You would typically do this through your PayPal account:
* Log in to your PayPal account.
* Go to the "Pay Later" section.
* Select the specific "Pay in 4" plan you want to pay off.
* There should be an option like "Make a Payment" or "Pay Off Loan" where you can then choose to pay the remaining full balance.
This allows you to take advantage of the split payment option at checkout but settle the debt immediately if you prefer.

I was able to add using the "Link a card manually" option. It did not work using the quick link for Chase.

I am trying it out on the REI site. I tried buying a $200 item with a 20% off coupon ($160), but when I tried to pay with PayPal, it showed the total as $200 with 4 payments of $50 each. Even when I choose Pay in Full, it still shows $200. I don't know if I want to risk it and then have to call later to get it corrected.

How are you seeing the amount of points? Mine just shows the purchase amount and a status of pending.
They should show below the transaction in your payment history, otherwise the PayPal Rewards dashboard should have the points listed for each transaction as well
