Move out of California. Seriously, however, never seen any of these types of offers work on paying a bill. They are aimed at retail purchases.
sell my house and move to another state because I can't use this deal for a tax payment? Are you a member of wallstreetbets?

I had pending points but best buy canceled my order.... Paypal shows my order has been refunded but paypal reward points are still pending... I know I'm not getting the rewards points but shouldn't it revert back so I can repurchase? do you know how long it takes for the pending points to revert back so I can repurchase?

Which cc cards do allow that option? My capital one linked to PayPal isn't showing the pay in 4 option
Capital One and Chase don't work with this. All others do (BOA, Amex, Citi etc.)

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

I tried using in on an Apple Gift Card through Target. It initially said "points pending" but no amount. Now it doesn't say anything about pending points. My earlier purchases at GameStop and Humble Bundle still have points pending.

edit: now resolved. Think it was something about Target splitting the $100 charge to 90 and 10

This happened to me last year when I purchased a TV during BF from Walmart using a PayPal points offer in conjunction with it. I cancelled my purchase and it took PayPal about a month to remove the pending points.

Can you use this promo by paying directly with a linked bank account? I only have Capital One and Chase credit cards, which seem to be ineligible.

Set limit to $2000.
Bought $900 laptop on eBay with Pay in 4 with no problems.

Tried $250 purchase at REI, and was declined!
When I check out, it's no longer even an option.

Anyone else come across this?
I just bought with REI and no problem.

I completed a transaction with Pay in 4 but am not seeing any points yet. I am surprised some people are seeing it right away and others not.
Same, just completed a transaction and don't see the points.
