11/26/2025 10:28am PST Update: This is now limited to ONE transaction, with 20% rewards back up to $1,250. Paypal email memo notes that the promotion for spend on multiple transactions prior to the notification will be honored.
Walmart:
1) you have to make sure Paypal is not a saved method of payment in your wallet. If so, go into your account and remove it
2) When you are in checkout, uncheck the box that says Remember Paypal as a payment option.

Here is a breakdown of the situation:
* Chase BNPL Restriction: Chase has stated that they will no longer allow their credit cards to be used for payments to most third-party BNPL providers. This change was effective as of October 2024 (based on reported customer emails and statements).
* PayPal Pay in 4 Impact: Several reports from users and articles suggest that this restriction includes PayPal's Pay in 4 option.
