Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

your property taxes, if you can use paypal like me to pay that
Did it trigger the offer when you paid property taxes?

Edit: Answering my own question here I went ahead bit the bullet and prepaid ~$1250 property tax (including service fees), ~250000 points immediately showed up as pending, used Pay in 4 or whatever its called. Paid using BofA CCR that is set to online purchase we'll see if this codes as online purchase. If it sticks, easy $200, if it doesn't will be out a few bucks and I'm ok with that!

My natural gas utility accepts PayPal and I tried to pay this months bill. It had options for "PayPal" and "PayPal Credit". Picked the PayPal option, got to the last screen and backed out of it. It was not clear if the Pay Later option would appear.

Used at Target and it is clearer with either "PayPal" or "Pay Later" to pick from before confirming order.

well i just submitted an order for bravia 8 ii 65 oled at sony. 10% new customer coupon - stacked with id.me 10% = 1979
applied for pay later since the price was higher than pay in 4. Paypal summary shows 5% Pending and 20% pending. could turn out to be a really slick deal. The lowest terms for pay it later were over 6 months and 80$ total interest. Hoping i can just pay it off immediately and not pay interest.. but its a good deal either way. Also 90 back in sony rewards

EDIT: just checked my order showes 49000 points pending..is that 490$!!!!!!!!?? holy crap
It looks like you are getting back 20% from PP before the retail coupons you applied. And now it seems the cap isnt $1250.
Very interesting. Please report back after your points post.

I still dream of that Bing 30% deal. That was a ridiculous deal that had so many loopholes. Its a wonder Microsoft didn't go bankrupt from it.
It was the xbox 360 recall that almost bankrupted them, cost them 1 billion dollars.

In the market for a washer/dryer. Costco price is still lower than everywhere else even after this discount, especially after the installation fees are considered. Alas I could have used this deal.

trying to pay property taxes but they only accept echeck, credit/debit card or Apple/Google Pay. Does anyone know of a way that I can add like a single use virtual card to either Apple or Google Pay to take advantage of this? Or any other way? This is for Orange County, California
