Just to confirm what I am sure I already know - the 20% cashback is only good on the pay in 4 set plan not the pay monthly plan - right?
I have the pay monthly plan available to me at check out but not the pay in 4 since I am at $1513.89 and not under $1500.

my purchase was 2k and it shows about 500 pending back in rewards due to the 5% sony and 20% stacked
I'm confused - you're saying you have $500 of points pending but you only spent $2000? If you are getting $500 worth of points on a purchase where you spent $2000, that's 25% from Paypal... and whatever the 5% from Sony is I'm assuming is separate and applied prior to whatever your final subtotal is that Paypal sees. I'm not sure what I'm missing here.

I don't see a "Pay Later" option...

Is "Pay in 4" the same? cuz there is no sign I will get the 20% other than offer activated through Paypal site but nothing on ebay.

Don't want to pay 1k and not get back $250...

So far I have not been able to use this promotion even though it is in my Paypal account. When I go to check out at the Disney Store it gives me the option to Pay in 4 and authorizes it but when I check out it just goes back to the cart and shows the full amount that will be charged to Paypal. Everytime I authorize it there is a pending charge on my account. I had to have Paypal remove three pending charges.

Then I thought I would try Target. It shows Pay Later for $100.00 total as three charges in a month so I don't think it qualifies.

No luck with Best Buy either.

Very frustrating so I think I am moving on.....
If I'm reading the promotion right, I don't think this is a discount. This is just cashback to use for a future purchase.

This promo is a joke. I had it on a purchase, backed out of the purchase to add a gift card that I wanted to spend, and then upon returning to Paypal, Pay in 4 was gone and Pay by month suggested an APY of 25% (my credit score ranges from 815-850 depending on bureau).

Up to $1250 spend is per transaction. Reads to me as if it can be used multiple times. This is going to be quite good - like almost as good as the Bing 30% cashback from way back when.
Edit: Sounds like it's total spend of $1250, but can be spread across multiple purchases. Still pretty darned great!
<= 5000$ in total it would seem

How it Works: The Offer allows Eligible Participants to earn PayPal Rewards Points ("Points") equivalent to 5% cash back on one or more Eligible Purchases during the Offer Period up to $5,000 spent. Eligible Participant must save the Offer through the Invitation once and then successfully complete one (1) or more Eligible Purchases during the Offer Period. For each Eligible Purchase, each Eligible Participant will receive a maximum of 25000 Points, which can be redeemed for $250 cash or other options (the "Reward") per Eligible Purchase. Reward will no longer be earned once the Offer Period has ended. There is a maximum total of 1,500,000,000 Points available under this offer for all Eligible Participants who have saved the offer and made an Eligible Purchase. Rewards will no longer be available once this limit is reached. If the maximum total of Points available is reached before the end of the Offer Period, this offer will end early.
During the Special Offer Period, Eligible Participants will earn Points equivalent to 20% cash back on one or more Eligible Purchases up to $1,250 spent.

It was mentioned early on not to back out as the option went away. Also bear in mind pay in 4 is only good for a purchase up to $1500 max

where it says gift cards not counts? I can't see that mentioned.
it's really hard to locate the terms now for it on paypal but before i applied for it, it was right under the ad on paypal app. however, another user says this. i do remember reading something like this when i did read the terms. perhaps you can locate the terms again and find this phrase.

I may have answered my own question by reading the offer page
"Eligible Purchase(s)": Eligible Purchases are purchases made using either Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly that are completed during the Offer Period by an Eligible Participant who has saved the Offer. Eligible Purchases do not include: (1) purchases that are marked as "pending" as of the end of the Offer Period, (2) purchases with Pay in 4 where the first payment has not been successfully processed, (3) any purchase or portion of a purchase that involves a payment method other than Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly; (4) purchases made at a merchant who enrolled in Pay Later within 30 days prior to the start of the promotion; and (5) any purchase involving non-profit organizations, gambling, security brokers/dealers, foreign currency/money orders, and stored value cards. Satisfaction of Eligible Purchase criteria will be determined solely by PayPal.

Looks like cashback is fine on the monthly plan you just lose the interest free pay in 4 part which I don't care about as I would pay it off immediately anyway.
