Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Just stacked this up with Nike black friday 25% off and 8% CB from another place that can't be mentioned. I'm seeing points pending so here's hoping it all works! Super slick!

I'm confused - you're saying you have $500 of points pending but you only spent $2000? If you are getting $500 worth of points on a purchase where you spent $2000, that's 25% from Paypal... and whatever the 5% from Sony is I'm assuming is separate and applied prior to whatever your final subtotal is that Paypal sees. I'm not sure what I'm missing here.
huh?
20% of 2k = 400
5%of 2k = 100

I have a PayPal business account and it doesn't seem that I can get that 20% off deal. Does anybody else have a PayPal business account that does get the 20% deal?

Mine disappeared after 4 rejections. First 3 was "too high amount". I tried $1200 then like $700. I have good credit so not sure why......I can apply for credit cards online and get approved. weird
Same for me 1250 was too high tried twice and after that it disappeared. At Target it shows but says disabled. Wonder if there is any way to enable it back and try with lower amount

Anyone else get this message in their Messages within Paypal?:

"We regret that we are unable to approve your request at this time for the following reason:

Total number of recently approved PayPal Pay Monthly loans."

My friend was asked to enter Date of Birth when he selected Pay in 4 option and after he entered DOB in the PayPal checkout screen it said his credit was in freeze and has to be unlocked which is fine because he had it frozen but is it normal for it to ask for Date of Birth?

I did remove PP first, but still no "pay in 4", only PP credit and other my CC accounts.

So there has been a lot of people on this thread that are worried that this deal is going to fill really quickly and so they are pulling the trigger on things now, but I've been thinking about it and I think that the fact that this deal does not work with Chase or Capital One or Discover cards is going to considerably slow the filling up of the offer because that's pretty restrictive in my opinion. You have to use either an Amex or Citi or BOA card only or use your bank account balance and so I think that restriction is going to keep this deal going for at least another two or three weeks before it's filled up so I'm going to take my chances and wait for better opportunities to use the deal on as Black Friday and Cyber Monday and other things in December approach (up until December 8th of course when the deal officially ends). What do you guys think about what I just said?

Everyone has a bank account. You can pay via checking. Your theory about not being used due to chase and discover isnt a big factor imo

I'm trying to buy something on eBay and use PayPal pay later to take advantage of this offer but I only see PayPal which will use my credit card and PayPal Credit which allows me to pay over time but it's not the same as Pay Later so the offer wouldn't work.

I tried removing my PayPal account from the Payments section of my account and adding again but the list of methods only come up with credit cards, not an option for Pay Later.

This is for a buy it now item, not auction. Sucks, I would totally buy the item I've been watching with if this offer worked.
same here.

Just to reiterate an earlier comment, it does look as if you're capped to $250 in rewards per account. I did two purchase (one for ~374, and another for ~1222, which should have been ~319 in rewards, and I only got $250 in pending rewards between the two of them.
How long did it take you to see the $250 in pending reward in PayPal?
I just placed order for new iPhone for $1279 and it's still says authorizaing under 1st installment. I do not see anything under rewards yet.

I don't see pay in 4 after bought a gift card from BB. I went back to Paypal and it seems they changed the term to just buy now, pay later and don't see pay in 4 option anymore

20% cash back on pay later purchases with PayPal through 12/8
Now through 12/8. From 12/9 - 12/31 offer updates to 5% cash back.

1 Save the offer below.

2 Buy now, pay later with PayPal at your favorite stores. Subject to availability

3 For a limited time, get 20% cash back on all eligible purchases through December 8th 11:59 PM PST

4 Offer reverts to 5% from December 9 - December 31
It's the same thing. Buy now pay later means both pay in 4 and pay monthly. I just tried it on best buy and it still comes up for me.
