Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Everyone has a bank account. You can pay via checking. Your theory about not being used due to chase and discover isnt a big factor imo
But the amount offered in total is so immense in my opinion. They are giving $15 million dollars away in points which means people need to spend $75 million dollars in order to fill the deal and kill it.

" There is a maximum total of 1,500,000,000 Points available under this offer for all Eligible Participants who have saved the offer and made an Eligible Purchase. Rewards will no longer be available once this limit is reached. If the maximum total of Points available is reached before the end of the Offer Period, this offer will end early."

Based on the typical conversion rate for PayPal Rewards points, 1,500,000,000 points would be worth $15,000,000 USD.

Is paypal credit the same? This is the only option I see to pay "later" with Paypal.

I have a paypal credit card & business account.

It's the same thing. Buy now pay later means both pay in 4 and pay monthly. I just tried it on best buy and it still comes up for me.
Interesting, I tried different Paypal account and merchants and the pay in 4 option did not show as an option or me after I made the gift card purchase from BB.

How did you get it to work?
I used PayPal as the payment option and Pay in 4 showed up. I see points pending in the PP app, but not a specific amount of points yet, so I'm hoping it worked but can't say with 100% certainty yet.

I tried buying a iPad at bestbuy.com and it gave me the option to pay in 4 which I use all the time and the order gave me an error on PayPal and never gave me the option again. Not even at other websites. I called PayPal and they said it will pop up eventually again. But no luck so far for the last two days. Worked before I clicked the deal on PayPal.

So there has been a lot of people on this thread that are worried that this deal is going to fill really quickly and so they are pulling the trigger on things now, but I've been thinking about it and I think that the fact that this deal does not work with Chase or Capital One or Discover cards is going to considerably slow the filling up of the offer because that's pretty restrictive in my opinion. You have to use either an Amex or Citi or BOA card only or use your bank account balance and so I think that restriction is going to keep this deal going for at least another two or three weeks before it's filled up so I'm going to take my chances and wait for better opportunities to use the deal on as Black Friday and Cyber Monday and other things in December approach (up until December 8th of course when the deal officially ends). What do you guys think about what I just said?
haha, this deal is blowing up and you're trying to slow it down by trying to calm folks down by asking them to consider the bank account card they're using? LOL. nice try. shake head

I get to the PayPal app where I can link my credit card and I linked my Citibank card but then the pay in 4 doesn't come up

Anyone able to make the "pay in 4" option show up again after using it 2-3 times? I paid the remaining balance, as someone suggested, and it did not seem to make the option show up again on checkout. The 20% cb offer is still present under REWARDS.

Finally showed the pending points once the charge hit the card.

For some reason it says 29000 pending which is a full 20% of my purchase. So more than the expected 25000
My purchase is showing pending 29581 points as well for my ~1479 purchase
