Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I made two Pay in 4 purchases but the option didn't show up anymore after that. Only Pay Monthly. I'm wondering if I can just choose that option and pay it off immediately to avoid paying interest.
Yes, you can use the Pay Monthly option and yes, you can also pay it off immediately too. Once you pay it off and it clears from your balance, you can even use it again for more purchases because the whole thing resets (only Pay Monthly does this and this is the advantage to using it rather than Pay in 4.....some people were able to go well past the $250 in points limit of Pay in 4 this way.....one guy made two $2000 purchases with Pay Monthly and got 49000 points to go pending which is $490 which is well over the $250 Pay In 4 limit for points).

Anyone used it for Apple purchase with trade-in? Not sure if this was answered, but wondering how this works, because first I will make the purchase without trade-in, then sending the trade-in will issue a refund. But my pay in 4 amounts will not change, right? as that was mandated by the initial purchase. Will paypalsubtract points/cashback amounts after the trade-in credit received?

Darn, just noticed this: "Total number of recently approved PayPal Pay Monthly loans."

YMMV but it seems they may cap you (I'm guessing depending on your income level, transaction amount and any prior transaction and respective amount, etc).

They probably saw more than one of these loan requests coming in within the past hour or two and have a hard limit at least daily.
I'm hoping more people will give us feedback on this. Like how long until it resets?

Yesterday I bought something for $950, then was declined a few hours later. I still can't use it today.

Yesterday my wife bought something for $275, then was declined a few hours later.

Edit: I just came back! It might be 24 hours after you pay off the balance owed. We need more feedback from others to figure this out!

So you paid it off and it is back after 24 hours?

I can confirm that I got more than $250 (about $400) in points pending from 2 different purchases totaling about $2000

now... will PayPal reduce the total amount to $250 after the points get posted? idk we'll see
Did you open up two different Pay Later plans? And were both of them Pay Monthly? Have you tried doing any more of these since yesterday?

Yes, roughly 24 hours later. I haven't narrowed it down to 24 hours after the purchase or the balance pay off though because I paid it off soon after I made the purchase.

Just adding screenshot of to prove that it's still working at Nike, eBay, Best Buy. and Walmart. In order to get it to work at Walmart you will have to delete your PayPal account and when you go to checkout to add it back make sure that uncheck "Remember my PayPal account details" then click on PayPal and the popup window with the pay later options should come up.
Buying gc works?

Anyone have any luck having Pay in 4 show up for Swappa checkout? I played around and it was an option before, but now I can't get it to show up again. Tried on both mobile and desktop.

When I click on the offer I see a list of stores where pay later is available. I don't see walmart but I remember using pay later previously on walmart. Is the store list universal or based on users?

I'm trying to figure this out as well! Hopefully we can get more data points!
