Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Used it to buy a 13" M4 512GB Macbook Air at Best Buy and a $219 Lego set at Lego.com, and both worked great. Used my Apple Card. Both say points pending. It's 25,454 points, so I'm assuming only 25,000 will post.

Pretty much everything involved in "cash back" transactions other than BOA works for insurance related transactions. I know all Chase credit cards and PayPal work. BOA is the only one that explicitly states its cash back will not work/code with insurance transactions. (I have 5 Chase CC's and 2 BOA CC's and know this first hand).
But everyone else is saying Chase doesn't work

Weird that they are very explicit about it only working up to $1,250 not only per purchase, but also per person, yet pending points is not reflecting that at all.
Yeah, I would be cautious about that. Until those points are confirmed and cashed out anything can happen. I would only count on the stated amount. Anything else should be a bonus, but not expected or factored into your purchase.

Do you see the option where it says "Remember my PayPal account details" before adding the PayPal account at checkout? That has to be uncheck for it to come up. I tried it and it works on the app and on the website for me.
Nah, I just used the Nike website then checked out with PayPal and then was redirected to PayPal and there it was the pay in 4 option, worked finally.

$1,400 - $280 (20% coupon) = $1,120 + tax = $1,218
30% cb from that one site = $336 (up to $1k vs regular $250)
20% cb from PayPal = $243.60

Net cost: $1,218 - $336 - $243.60 = $638.40

Should I pull the trigger? Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
hey do you see the 30% cb pending in cap one yet?
I bought an monitor using the same method yesterday but I still haven't see the 30% cb pending.

Do you at some point see that the offer is being applied during checkout?
I downloaded the app and used the QR code for the 20% offer just to be safe, I think I "activated" it by doing so, then made my purchase via Paypal Pay in 4 on Bambulabs (getting into 3D printing for the first time), and made the purchase with the credit card of choice. I do see pending activity in my account after that purchase of 25,818 pending points which I expect to see adjusted down to 25,000 as the limit is $250 off of a $1250 purchase (20%) and my total purchase after taxes ended up being $1,290.82.

This works out great for me. I have a Citi Mastercard that was originally a Sears card. They recently sent me a letter saying the account has been dormant for 31 months and will be closed at the end of the year unless I use it. However, they sweetened the pot by offering a $75 statement credit if I spend $300+ on the card by December 31.

I went to the Exxon Mobil site and put $400 worth of gift cards in the cart. It allows PayPal so I enrolled the City card. It was approved for Pay in 4. Three of the $100 payments will post by December 31, triggering the $75 statement credit.

I needed the gas cards for upcoming trips anyway. I've had other gas cards breached but not Exxon.

I saw a lot of post here saying the limit is cap off at $250. This is not true. I ordered an Aviron Strong Rowing machine for $2070 after tax and got 41,400 points pending. That's over $400 which is 20% of the $2070 price tag.
