Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Got rejected due to credit freeze. I was impatient and tried within 10 minutes of unfreezing my credit and it still denied me for the same reason. Now I don't see the option for the Pay in 4 anymore. Will it repopulate overnight?

The points pending can be seen in your PayPal activity ledger and also in the Pay Later drop down menu after clicking on that and also in the Rewards section of PayPal which is another drop-down menu. So it's all over the place in your PayPal account. It officially takes up to 90 days for points to go from pending to redeemable says PayPal right on the Rewards page.
Thanks for the details.
Yes I just verified that under the activity, when I click the purchase transaction I'm able to see the points pending, but only in the app. I was previously using desktop browser and it doesn't show it there.
Also, I should've scrolled further down under the rewards section (in the desktop browser) to also see the points pending.

How long did it take for the points to show? I placed the order and it still says authorizing and doesn't show the total points just "points pending"

Pay in 4 is currently not available to residents of MO. I tried many times until I see this. Lol, why Missouri is excluded? Come on, PayPal, it is kind of discrimination.
from what I understand, these "BNPL" outfits are allowed to work so broadly and with so little info upfront since they aren't viewed as traditional "lenders" by the federal govt due to their 0% and other aspects. If your state has additional consumer "protection" that more specifically calls BNPL out as lenders, then PayPal probably just doesn't want to deal with that.

Don't feel bad- I think NV is excluded in there too. At least you don't live in CA where everything is carcinogenic

You'll receive a follow-up "Your PayPal Pay in 4 payment went through" email, and that's when you'll be able to see the exact amount of points pending in the app. It took about 12 hours for me personally.

Around 12 hours I guess. I ordered late afternoon yesterday and the points were pending when I woke up early this morning.

Well it seems for Paypal to have some benefit to have all those transcations through their payment system. I am sure they did the math 😀 It is a good thing we have such a promotion. It is shopping and discount season already.

Mine was much much faster. Hit the submit order button, received the email, pending transaction, and points show pending. All happened in less than a minute. PayPal did say I was pre-approved before I made the purchase. And I added the offer a day in advance. And I used BoA CC.

Do you need to pay off the remaining 3 payments to get the points to show? Also, I used the offer this morning on the air pods. Am I screwed for not waiting a day?
