Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Read the T&C for the offer.
Eligible Purchase(s)": Eligible Purchases are purchases made using either Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly that are completed during the Offer Period by an Eligible Participant who has saved the Offer. Eligible Purchases do not include: (1) purchases that are marked as "pending" as of the end of the Offer Period, (2) purchases with Pay in 4 where the first payment has not been successfully processed, (3) any purchase or portion of a purchase that involves a payment method other than Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly; (4) purchases made at a merchant who enrolled in Pay Later within 30 days prior to the start of the promotion; and (5) any purchase involving non-profit organizations, gambling, security brokers/dealers, foreign currency/money orders, and stored value cards. Satisfaction of Eligible Purchase criteria will be determined solely by PayPal.

I am one who took the chance and purchased $1250 worth of Home Depot gift cards directly at Home Depot over 2 orders. Both had the pending 20% bonus attached to it.
If I get it, great, if I don't, it's a store I was planning to shop at in the near future. I originally wanted to wait until Black Friday or Cyber Monday to make the purchase on the actual items but don't know if this promo would end. Im thinking quite a few of us were thinking this way.
I wish you luck!

Look man I'm just trying to help you, I'm not a lawyer. The specific language to me is that if you don't abide by the pay in 4 payment schedule, it hasn't been completed. It's vague. Maybe you could call them and ask or just hope it flies under the radar.

So how does a credit card like the BoA customized cash rewards work? Does it not trigger the 3% for online shopping because we're giving the money to paypal?

Please don't call; no one should call. That's SD rule #2. Never call.

Let people do whatever they want to do; don't spoil it for others. The team is generous enough to make available a promotion for us and we reward them with a bunch of questions about how exactly it works? The promotion is not perfect but the terms are legally clear and the last thing we need to do is prompt them to shut it down early because there are too many complaints. It's your finances, you pay it off whenever you get ready (or not).

This promotion is not exclusive to SD. It's not s secret, it's literally everywhere.

Grow a pair, call them if needed.

Is there any way to check how much points are left before this deal expires? Feel like they will run out of cash before black friday happens.

It's going to be hilarious all the people trying to take advantage of this offer when they do reverse the points award.

I made two purchases of Best Buy gift cards last night using pay in 4.
Now I don't see pay in 4 options anymore in any stores.
Since gift cards is not eligible for 20% according to the terms, I'm thinking about pay in full early for these two transactions, will it somehow frees up my credit line and re-enable pay in 4 for other purchases?
