Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I made two purchases of Best Buy gift cards last night using pay in 4.
Now I don't see pay in 4 options anymore in any stores.
Since gift cards is not eligible for 20% according to the terms, I'm thinking about pay in full early for these two transactions, will it somehow frees up my credit line and re-enable pay in 4 for other purchases?
Others have said it does reset after 24 hours

i think its the view. I am on IOS app, it shows pending rewards, but not the actual points.

cs said wait until the item ships, it seems like nobody knows how it works. I will return anyway if it dont get the points.

Walmart matched an Amazon Black Friday price. But the Pay in 4 didn't show up. Then I saw the eBay advice in this thread about removing the PayPal connection. I tried that on Walmart.com and it worked perfectly. Once I deleted my PayPal account from their payment options, confirmed the change, and then started over again I got the Pay in 4 to show up.

I was approved for a $330 purchase. It took a few minutes but eventually I received an email saying the Pay in 4 went through.

How does cancelling an order work? I cancelled an order from two days ago. Is the initial charge going to be reversed and the plan cancelled? Or will I have the first payment refunded to my paypal balance?

So how does a credit card like the BoA customized cash rewards work? Does it not trigger the 3% for online shopping because we're giving the money to paypal?
I got credit card cashbacks for all my purchases thru Paypal, either be direct pay or Pay in 4 linked to the credit card. You still pay to merchant site but it goes thru Paypal.

This promotion is not exclusive to SD. It's not s secret, it's literally everywhere.

Grow a pair, call them if needed.
The rule of thumb is to fly under the radar. An innocent question might trigger a customer service agent to ask his supervisor, who then double-checks with Promotions/Marketing/IT and they in turn double-check that all filters have been properly turned on. Something that may have gone through unnoticed and unchecked before (a hole in their process), now stops dead in its track.

And yes, the offer is well known and yes, there are probably similar inquiries from other sources ... but you never know whether your call is the one call that "broke the camel's back".

For this particular deal, it's unlikely that your question caused any untoward harm. However, in other deals where there may appear to be a mispriced item or unintended discounts, calling any attention to such sale item would be extremely detrimental to the SD community. You might get your answer and take advantage of the deal to your benefit, but screw over later SD members who get shut out from the deal.

Do you have a CCR? It shows up in my BoA account as "Paypal *PYPL Payin4" and not the name and location of the retail store I bought the item from.

Wow, this is insane. I had an offer from Target for buying $100 worth of item from Holiday Wish List and get $15 reward. So I added $100 airbnb gift card (which also has a $10 Target gift card offer) to my wish list and bought it. I paid with PayPal Pay in 4. Immediately I got $100 airbnb gift card, $10 Target gift card, $15 Target reward and PayPal 1800 points! PayPal deducted the $10 Target Gift Card when calculating the points. But I will take it!!
Did the $15 off offer show in your cart at checkout? And was it a physical or emailed gift card?

Gift cards are explicitly excluded from that $15 promotion. So I'm wondering if it's just a backend error that they've now corrected since I can't duplicate this even though I have both the $10 and $15 offers saved in my circle account.

So how do you use a credit card for the pay in 4. Does that mean it you pay with your credit card or do you have set up payments with your bank account? Ok I found my answer.

When you use PayPal Pay in 4 with a credit card, the first payment is made at checkout, and the remaining three payments will be automatically charged to the same credit card every two weeks. Some specific credit cards, like Capital One and Chase, may not be accepted for automatic payments. You can also make extra payments or pay off the balance manually at any time through the PayPal app or website, using either your PayPal balance or another linked payment method.

Be careful, I could be wrong but it looks like gift cards won't count.

"Eligible Purchases do not include:..(5) any purchase involving non-profit organizations, gambling, security brokers/dealers, foreign currency/money orders, and stored value cards."
A lot of people, including myself, have been reporting the pending points showing for gift card purchases. For stuff like this (not sure if Paypal has ever run promos like this thouigh), is Paypal known to go in and 'audit' purchases and clawback or cancel points?

I'm also wondering but would a "gift certificate" also count or be considered as a "stored value card"? Technically, it's not a "card" hahaha.

Does this only work in Pay in 4 or also Pay Monthly? I wouldn't mind the 24 months.

Yeah I changed my questions as I saw the 24 months comes with interests which totally negates the deal.
