Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

So I check the offer term. I am not sure if the gift card is eligible for such promotion. It said in category 5) store value cards are not qualify for it. I think or believe store value card is gift card.

"Eligible Purchase(s)": Eligible Purchases are purchases made using either Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly that are completed during the Offer Period by an Eligible Participant who has saved the Offer. Eligible Purchases do not include: (1) purchases that are marked as "pending" as of the end of the Offer Period, (2) purchases with Pay in 4 where the first payment has not been successfully processed, (3) any purchase or portion of a purchase that involves a payment method other than Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly; (4) purchases made at a merchant who enrolled in Pay Later within 30 days prior to the start of the promotion; and (5) any purchase involving non-profit organizations, gambling, security brokers/dealers, foreign currency/money orders, and stored value cards. Satisfaction of Eligible Purchase criteria will be determined solely by PayPal. "

What they don't know won't hurt them.
It's 2025 just like all the other bazillion promotions going on, usually when someone means gift cards, they call them "gift cards." No need to try to fool the entire population by calling them stored value cards.

Did u get the points for pay later (monthly) option. I thought this promotion only for 4 payment option.
I have points pending for both. I did Pay Later initially because that was the only option. I did Pay in 4 earlier today. I have points pending for all. This promo is for any "Pay Later" option which includes Pay in 4 and Pay Monthly

A number of people, including myself, have reporting pending points on gift card purchases. We aren't going to know until they actually post though...

Thank you for this! Been looking into a switch and went with this deal. Hopefully cb doesn't mind that it's PayPal's pay in 4.

This was probably the easiest $500 I made in a few minutes. Paid property taxes through paypal first from my account, and then from wife's account. 3% fee for paying paypal is (almost) covered by my CC rewards so I made $500 (assuming it will post properly).

Chase doesn't work for me when I try pay-in-4, so I think you are right. Where did you see that about Capitol one and Chase btw?
I saw it when I googled it and it is backed up from people posting on here.

Pay monthly normally has interest payments though.

Are you sure it was "Pay in 4"?

Others got it to work with Samsung, not sure why mine doesn't. I use BofA, does that affect Pay in 4?

Is it through the Express Checkout section? I'm only seeing my credit/debit cards, bank and then PayPal Credit (I applied and was approved for but that's not the right option). The bottom is my shipping address and there isn't any other options for PayPal.

Below that is a section for 4 installments but only Affirm and Klarna are available.

Has anyone else had success with Chase creditcards? I don't believe Paypal 20% pay-in-4 works with Chase creditcards. When I try to add card during pay-in-4, paypal gives me error. I have Chase freedom and Chase freedom flex already connected to paypal, but they don't work with pay-in-4. I have been trying the last 2 days, and I tried Firefox/Chrome/Edge. I tried with and without vpn. But it always breaks when I press "Add card", so it must be my Chase creditcards not being allowed.
Chase, Capital One and Discover don't work with this deal.

Can I make a purchase for 1600 with monthly pay later , get the 250 back since that's the max , then immediately pay the monthly balance off in full to avoid interest and then cash out the points in 90 days

Will that work or do I have to wait for the points to pay off balance

Why not just us ethe pay in 4? Not showing up? The pay monthly normally has interest and accrues immediately I'm sure.
