11/26/2025 10:28am PST Update: This is now limited to ONE transaction, with 20% rewards back up to $1,250. Paypal email memo notes that the promotion for spend on multiple transactions prior to the notification will be honored.
Walmart:
1) you have to make sure Paypal is not a saved method of payment in your wallet. If so, go into your account and remove it
2) When you are in checkout, uncheck the box that says Remember Paypal as a payment option.

It showed "Pay in 4" for me just a few minutes ago while purchasing something.
It's been mentioned by me more than once and some others. Sometimes the Pay 4 goes away. It took the better part of day for it to come back for me after purchasing something overnight.

We'll see if gc purchases continue to result in pending points.
Clawback is a popular word but overrated word on SD.

Oh, and of course, now that I completed that purchase, now my Pay in 4 option is gone, again, as expected. I bet it will show up sometime tomorrow, just like it showed back up today.
Checked my county's property tax payment portal and there's no Pay in 4 Paypal option, only normal credit cards or (yuck) debit card transaction. Well, my usual plan of churning a CC meeting minimum spend by paying property tax is still a go, but it would have been extra slick to split up the payment in chunks to maximize the Pay in 4 cashback benefit.

Cap is $1,250 per transaction. If you can split it into $1,250 and $750 for your $2000 purchase you may be able to double dip, it's still unclear that you'll get anything past $250 cashback but it doesn't hurt to try, I suppose.
