Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I am trying to buy something on BestBuy, a $1000 laptop. I confirmed that I saved the offer in my PayPal account but Pay Later does not show up when I select PayPal as the payment method during checkout. All I see are the options to pay using my PayPal balance, credit card, or bank account, or apply for PayPal Credit, which I take is a credit card. Am I doing something wrong?
try not saving the payment method & maybe it will show up (on Walmart it only showed up if I didn't check the save payment method)

25k points back on a iphone purchase I made yesterday directly from apple. says up to 90 days to get the pts. has anyone actually got points yet and how can you redeem them?
Considering this is extended return eligible for some/most big retailers I do not think Paypal will even visit the accounts to confirm the purchases and make pending points redeeamble in the next 2 months. So up to 90 days will be effectively between 60-90 days.

Not available for me either, but others are able to see it. YMMV

Our accounts might just not be eligible for Samsung. It doesn't work for BestBuy nor Ebay, but it works for Home Depot.

I checked the PayPal app and there is a small list of merchants that's available to my account. I'm guessing those are the only ones that I'm able to use it with at this time.
Actually I managed to get it to work on Ebay, though it took a minute.

Nice, seems like the eligible merchants are different for everyone.

I have not read every page of this deal if this concern has been answered, but here is the solution. You charge 25% now using Chase Freedom, sure you won't get the additional cashback on this 25%, but if you make remaining 75% payments in December, then you have used the PayPal deal, as well as will get the 5% Chase Cash back on the remaining 75% of your spend (which if you are spending $1250 on PayPal comes out to getting 5% of the remaining $937.50)

Concern is if this offer is used up by then
Quote from psychojinx :
If you have a Chase Freedom credit card that requires the quarterly activation for certain categories to get 5% cash back, there is a way to double dip an extra 5% and increase this PayPal offer from 20% to 25% cash back in the month of December only. This is possible because Chase is offering 5% cash back only in the month of December for PayPal purchases. So to get the 25%, link your Chase Freedom credit card to your PayPal account and pay for everything with PayPal Pay Later using only that activated Chase Freedom credit card, and make sure all of your purchases are only in the month of December and no other time. This extra 5% cash back is actually coming from Chase and is good for up to $1,500 in combined purchases.

This is a cut and paste after I activated my Chase Freedom quarterly categories to show you exactly what I'm talking about:

5% cash back
Current quarter
Earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in
combined purchases

Well the return window for apple and a new iphone is 14 days so hopefully sooner?

Looks like my property tax site allows payment by Paypal. The Pay in 4 option isn't available but the Pay Monthly option is. Should that qualify for the 20% back if I make an initial payment and then pay rest off in December? Thanks!!

Terms say . Reward will no longer be earned once the Offer Period has ended. There is a maximum total of 1,500,000,000 Points available under this offer for all Eligible Participants who have saved the offer and made an Eligible Purchase. Rewards will no longer be available once this limit is reached. The limit will def be reached soon especially with all the traffic this offer is getting on SD
TBH, if everyone max out the 25,000 pts, that would be 60,000 people who are savy enough find this deal and not skeptical of paypal deferred payments. I think this will go until into December as many Chase holders might wait and not everyone maximizing the 25k.

do we get a notification from paypal about cashback and how long before we get it? I made a purchase a couple hours ago and I do not see anything yet.

Edit: sorry, I am seeing the transaction under my activity. by the way, I could not add my Chase Freedom and PayIn4 for some reason
