Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

big purchases? I got 2 payin4 and they cut me off as in does not show any credit in app. I am even afraid to try anymore. Had two kind of big $1000 and $840 (which will go back) transactions.

Mine smaller transactions.. all totals to 1300$ purchase .. pay monthly is another option which I was hesitant to try but I tried anyway. I paid off monthly as soon as it showed up, it did not deduct the interest (hopefully transaction is final )

Omg, it seemed PayPal trying to demonstrate how incompetent and poor this financial institution is, not being able to setup a big promotion with a user friendly checkout process with minimal communication and providing limitations or easy to follow T&C. Would I participate again on their next promotion? Maybe but wouldn't keep high hope and waste as much time.

You don't have to unlink your PayPal. You can select PayPal credit and then change it in checkout to Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly.

Here is what was sent to my message folder on Paypal. Not the A.I. chatbox.

I have checked your account and see that there is a purchase with Walmart.com for $XXX.xx USD using Pay in 4 and it is completed.
Please be assured you are eligible for offer and you will get the points for it.
Also, I would suggest you to not make the complete payment at this moment to avoid any issue with the offer.
You can make the complete payment after 14 days.
I sent a message back to clarify asking if I pay the remaining balance in full after 14 days will I still keep my points from the 20% offer

why risk it, just let it auto deduct over the next 6 weeks.

Does anyone know if this can be combined with the 15% cashback on PayPal purchases for Microsoft?

I think I saw a few messages where people already paid in full but think just because the points still show pending that they will keep them. I'm not going to pay early, but I still wanted to ask just for another data point.

there's no reason to think that paying it early will disqualify anyone from the bonus offer. That's probably the only part of this deal that's not a big question mark in my mind.

I had a 6% paypal offer for Viatour and it stacked with the 20%, both show up separately under the transaction as pending points. So... maybe.
