Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Target shopping for our upcoming baby seems like a good bet. Stroller (didn't really explore options so maybe not), car seat (same as before), crib mattress (bought crib), baby monitor, etc. Welcome any more suggestions.
I'm assuming you did the baby registry to get the coupon codes? I just used this deal to get a Mockingbird high chair which is on Bf sale, free feeding set, and 20% off

Does anybody know if this would work to pay for car insurance? Progressive takes PayPal as form of payment
it would, as long as they let you choose pay in 4 (which, they do - if you qualify)

Got a reject about 5 days ago and Pi4 never came back for me. Reading other posts, it seems like it may take months for it to return..

I highly doubt there are enough points left in PayPal's 1.5B pool. This thread has 350K+ views along with other deal threads that use this promo. Not to mention other deal sites. If 150K people spent 500$ each, that would be the entire 15M cashback reserve that PayPal allotted. Some people here have some heavy pockets too.
I've only used it twice but I've viewed this thread about 500 times so far because it's the most entertaining thread in 2025 by far. laugh out loudlaugh out loud

I think I saw a few messages where people already paid in full but think just because the points still show pending that they will keep them. I'm not going to pay early, but I still wanted to ask just for another data point.
yeah, definitely not worth the risk w/ almost no upside.

there's zero risk to paying early but I understand why *everything* about this promo is labeled risky especially when it is perceived that "pending" points mean nothing. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Why wouldn't we keep the points? There is no stipulation that paying early will void the points. It makes no sense since PP go their money from the retailers that agreed to offer Payin4 for a fee. I would think it would not matter to PP if they get their money back (the ones that they paid to the retailers already when you made a purchase) now or in a month. The idea of this whole promotion is for people to use the Payin4 in the future. They are giving out $15 million in the hope they will make it back and some in the future. They charge the retailers a fee if they want to offer Payin4.

You believe what you want and I'll believe what I want. I want to minimize any excuses they might come up with.

Anyone know how to get this to work on the Samsung app? I choose PayPal, but the pay 4 does not show. In Paypal I saved the promo.

They will always be pending points or cashback or whatever you want to call it until the return window passes for each retailer. PP is not dumb to give you points and then return the items. I hope people have some common sense.

Can this be used in more than one transaction with rewards exceeding $250? I'm seeing people say different things.
