11/26/2025 10:28am PST Update: This is now limited to ONE transaction, with 20% rewards back up to $1,250. Paypal email memo notes that the promotion for spend on multiple transactions prior to the notification will be honored.
Walmart:
1) you have to make sure Paypal is not a saved method of payment in your wallet. If so, go into your account and remove it
2) When you are in checkout, uncheck the box that says Remember Paypal as a payment option.

Target is not doing well, it's the next Sears.
I highly doubt there are enough points left in PayPal's 1.5B pool. This thread has 350K+ views along with other deal threads that use this promo. Not to mention other deal sites. If 150K people spent 500$ each, that would be the entire 15M cashback reserve that PayPal allotted. Some people here have some heavy pockets too.

there's zero risk to paying early but I understand why *everything* about this promo is labeled risky especially when it is perceived that "pending" points mean nothing.
