11/26/2025 10:28am PST Update: This is now limited to ONE transaction, with 20% rewards back up to $1,250. Paypal email memo notes that the promotion for spend on multiple transactions prior to the notification will be honored.
Walmart:
1) you have to make sure Paypal is not a saved method of payment in your wallet. If so, go into your account and remove it
2) When you are in checkout, uncheck the box that says Remember Paypal as a payment option.

Was hoping the new "offer" would have been separate from the overall $250 cap but I guess not. It just added to my previous points and cut off at 25000. If that makes sense

I think this is it; this might be a good indicator. it's simple: if it says completed, you have zero. if not, you have one.
still, I wouldn't give the system overnight to turn your status into completed.
