Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

How long after ordering do the pending points show up?

Edit: Never mind, they already showed up!

Does it mean just "Pay later" not "pay in 4" now?
The terms say pay later means pay in 4 or pay monthly

Thank you for being a part of our limited-time Buy Now Pay Later holiday promotion. We're so happy you've been able to take advantage of it. You've reached the limit on this offer given our new terms, which can be found here.

Any eligible PayPal Pay Later transactions you made before today will receive the benefit of the original offer terms. You can check the status of any pending points in the rewards hub of the PayPal app.

During Black Friday and Cyber Monday, shop with PayPal Pay in 4 interest-free and with no fees. And you can check out other cash back offers in the PayPal app.

Thank you for being part of this promotion.

I assume it's over and the 2 billion points have been claimed
Did you hit your personal limit? The message is ambiguous.

My third purchase today (Switch 2 at Best Buy) is showing 20% cash back pending, even though I received the limit-reached email on November 26 and made a second purchase a few hours after that email.
I'm curious to see whether the 9,742 points from today will actually post to my account or if PayPal will reverse them. Either way, I've got 60 days to return the Switch to Best Buy, so I guess I'm fine with that lol.

I tried pay monthly and it's saying there's a finance charge of $189.09. Is that the fee for applying for the loan?

Bought a iPhone 17 Pro Max at the Apple Store using PayPal Pay in 4. PayPal activity shows "points pending". We'll see if it works.

No. Without knowing the specifics, it is probably the TOTAL cost of interest for the entire period of the loan if you don't pay it off early. If that's the case, just pay it as early as you like to eliminate or reduce interest

There is no reason it should not work so long as the terms were followed and you pay it early or according to the schedule provided by Pay in 4

You have to wait for the auth to clear out which will probably happen after the expiration date of the offer. And most likely it won't make you eligible for the promo again anyway. Can try contacting them when they're open next and see.
I kept trying every day and it finally worked for me yesterday. The pre-auth is still there but the "lock" is gone after 2 days. Got my pay4 deal in. See pending points. Phew!
