Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Maybe. But also on the individual transactions, the others that worked showed the rewards linked, but this one doesn't have anything at all, which seems to indicate its not associated with a reward.
We just be guessing. We know little to nothing

I'm just saying the one transaction is a special case and may be treated differently as far as pending points

Oh yeah, its all a big mystery. I'm even more concerned about the much bigger purchase I did after the email! Points are showing...for now. Hope they go final soon so I can go ahead and open it up!

Guess this deal ended up saving Black Friday. In a bunch of threads, people weren't calling anything a good deal on its own. They were saying it only became a good deal after stacking the PayPal 20% cashback.

Was able to order MacBook Air M4 512GB/16GB & Apple Watch SE 3 40mm at BestBuy and total came to $1248.xx and purchased Pay with 4. PayPal account shows pending points. Quite a good deal.

Took the plunge and made a 2nd purchase. the offer was finally marked as completed, but points show up as pending. will basically use this as a test, can return if i end up not getting the points.
Confirmation on this. If you got the paypal email about reaching the limit of the offer, but it didn't show the offer as 'completed' on the app. You can still make another transaction with it. The points you get will just be capped to 25000 in total.

I bought a laptop on samsung and i just got the points.

I don't see the Pay in 4 or Pay Later option when checking out of eBay. Anyone else have this issue and find a workaround? I tried logging in to PayPal or PayPal Credit through the checkout page and still didn't give me that option. Is it because the item costs $1300? I know the maximum offer price is $1250 but I just thought that is the maximum offer redemption ($250).
