Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

does the credit report also show that you opened up a new "loan". I am not sure if these pay later loans also show up on the credit report.
They can report if you pay late (30 days past due). That's in the terms. Don't know about being a good payer however

Does anyone know if going through a cashback site will inactive this offer? I can't think how it would. Thanks

made a Pay in 4 purchase on 11/23 and 11/24. both still say points pending. made another purchase today 11/29 and don't see points pending. I still see the "20% cash back on one Pay Later purchase with PayPal" as an offer on my PayPal rewards page. Guess I'm out of luck?

I would like to confirm that the points I earned buying gift cards have been fully deposited into my account, not just marked as pending.😀

Nice. Can you check your Paypal transaction history to share when exactly the transaction occurred? Thanks.

Uhh this isn't working and now have 3 pending PayPal Transactions with no purchase even made yet!! I was trying to buy a laptop through Wal-mart, applied for the Pay in 4, says I'm approved, but then I noticed my cash back site wasn't activated. So clicked activate, then of course that refreshed the page and made me select payment method again. Long story short, it took me 4 tries to get the cashback site to stay activated and have the PayPal Pay in 4 option still appear, but on the 4th attempt it declines me! And now I have 3 pending charges on my credit card with no purchase made and can't selectt pay in 4 anymore!! WTF what a nightmare

Sorry if this was already asked. But if you still have the offer on the account after making a purchase and seeing the points pending, can you make another purchase and still get the offer?

I purchased something from walmart last night and I want to buy something from HP today.

I was seeing pay in 4 when I was trying to check out. I was trying to link a card at that time since it was using my bank account. I tried twice and it was causing an error to link a card. Now i only see pay monthly. Does pay in 4 come back after few minutes? Not sure what is going on. Thanks

No, just the 2 soft inquiries show for PayPal. PayPal nor anything else new has shown up for loans, credit, etc.

Awesome. Everyone's points (re: gcs) seem to be going through just fine. If I didn't have 3 non-gc purchases I happily made, I would feel cheated for missing out on this golden opportunity to get a 20% discount on gcs if it wasn't for a few folks in the thread harassing those who did so with hollow warnings about t&c violations and clawbacks. shake head

Wink

Check to see if you have a pending charge now.. that's what happened to me and now I can't re-apply for pay in 4 because it's saying I applied too many times (who know when this will reset.. probably right after these deal ends)

Thanks. Nothing pending. Do you have to pay via bank (and not credit card) for pay in 4 method?

Thanks

You can use a credit card, that's what I did.. but be careful when selecting that during checkout as it's actually going to send a pending charge for 1/4th of the purchase price even before you place your order.
