11/26/2025 10:28am PST Update: This is now limited to ONE transaction, with 20% rewards back up to $1,250. Paypal email memo notes that the promotion for spend on multiple transactions prior to the notification will be honored.
Walmart:
1) you have to make sure Paypal is not a saved method of payment in your wallet. If so, go into your account and remove it
2) When you are in checkout, uncheck the box that says Remember Paypal as a payment option.

I used her Paypal account for a pay-in-4 transaction. The points is pending in her account. But I also see the payment authorization in my Paypal account activity. Wonder if my account still qualifies
Edit: Chatgpt says since it's the same card, that's why I also see the authorization. But since it's different names on the cards, Paypal allows them on different accounts.

You can't live your life asking AI everything. If you want to risk it, that's certainly your option, and you may be fine, but those who have used Paypal for a long time know better than to share ANYTHING between accounts, especially when taking advantage of offers/deals like this.

none of my poending points have been removed after cancelling 2 orders. they did give me the $250 though for purchases afterwards
