Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

They're still dispersing cash back... sometimes out of order (e.g. i have some 11/22 orders that are still pending, while some 11/23 orders have already posted).
One of my transactions should have given me 22k points, but I only received 10k since another transaction was 15k. I still have another pending transaction for 8k points.

I received the offer and made a buy now pay later purchase on November 29th. I do not see any pending points. Should I reach out to PayPal?
I think you and I are in the same boat.

Same here
I just talked to customer service, and she said it expired on 12/3, not 12/8, even if you had it saved to your account.

Based on all the data points here you are only going to receive $250 of the $550 in pending points that you have. Turns out that based on every single data point that we have so far, chat GPT was wrong and the promotion is and always has maxed out at $250 in rewards, inclusive of all transactions.

I doubt your case is going to be different - most likely you will receive the first $250 and none of the remaining pending points.

If I were you I most definitely wouldn't do another transaction since you're likely to only get less than half of the pending points that you already have.
Lucky day, I cashed out all my points ($550). Notably 2 of my purchases had been returned at Best Buy and fully refunded and they still finalized my reward points. I guess just the purchase and use of Pay Later was fine, even if you don't keep the purchase.

they truly fumbled this promotion in every single conceivable way... Amazing to see in the Year of our Lord 2025. This is dawn of the internet level incompetence. Brings me back to the good ol' days.

Is it normal that it doesn't have the actual number of points amount pending? And I only see the pending in the app, not on desktop
Same. Still says pending from 2 weeks ago, only in app. Mine was Home Depot. Where was your purchase?

PayPal is refusing to give the points beyond $250 here. Explained to them the original terms, with screenshots, and they keep reading the exclusions. All my purchases made before November 24. My purchases were not in the exclusion. Don't know what to do at this point.

Final update:
Got all my payouts totaling $480.
I used 2 accounts and gift cards was the majority of the purchases. Bought 1 item and added a $700 gift card. I'm happy. Got some tool deals from Home Depot and 20% off. Still sitting on $900 in gift cards. I wish I had a 3rd and 4th account! Anyway, thanks OP

They had a budget, and they spent it. Paypal is gonna say that's a success.

Success all around. I ended up cashing just under $2k by prepaying utilities.
