Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Final update: Got all my payouts totaling $480. I used 2 accounts and gift cards was the majority of the purchases. Bought 1 item and added a $700 gift card. I'm happy. Got some tool deals from Home Depot and 20% off. Still sitting on $900 in gift cards. I wish I had a 3rd and 4th account! Anyway, thanks OP
Doubt the amount of pending points is showing for Home Depot. I did like 6 purchases. Only show pending points in app 2 weeks later, without telling amount.

I haven't read much of this thread but I can confirm that PayPal has fulfilled the cb for four of my five purchases, totaling over $600. I quickly deposited to my bank account in case PP decides they want to reneg.
Pro tip - disassociate your bank account ASAP in case they do clawbacks (not a strong possibility, but better safe than sorry for something that takes 3 seconds to do).

Does anyone know if the 5% cash back deal is still alive? My 11/30 order didn't ship until today and didn't make the 20% cash back, but I thought they're running the 5% cash back until end of year? I don't see any points pending.

Agreed. I still think about missing out on the Amazon A7R II price mistake where people got $3k+ cameras and lenses for like $94. I was bummed, but I'm happy for the people who were able to get in on it.
I got one; held out for the longest with fingers crossed. Gave it away to a relative since I'm not a camera person; she still loves it.

Yeah, PayPal has never seen that one before. if they wanted to be paid, they'll send you a bill and then send you to collections. And you'll never have PayPal again. That's ridiculous.

Shenanigans like that are the reason so many people in their thread are complaining about "problems" they're having. It's 2025, they use AI. There isn't anything you can do they don't know about and never forget.

They capped me at $250 and during call refused to honor their original terms, has anyone filed FTC and/or CFPB complaints against Paypal yet?

The terms were clear, it was up to $1250 total. The first page of thus thread made it clear.

Dudes the terms were clear, this thread just snowballed and it seemed like some actually lucked out. Theres a bunch of people who coukdnt even get in on the deal, they practically disabled all my families accounts after giving them every bit of information about us. I woukd delete the face scans youve had to make because theyre probably being sold to dta brokers as we speak.

It was just a nightmare of a deal, I will use apple pay whereever i can now. If they had comeout and just said it was for select customers, that woukd have been fine but they literally used every sleazy way, made us spend hours. They woukd tell us our cards were declined, had us calling all our banks who told us they were lying. Similar reviews across the internet. Just a mess of a promotion that I guess got a select few walking way with thousands of dollars.

But the original terms were clear, it was capped at 1250 total. It wasnt even confusing, the terms people were trying to conflate in here were mind numbing. The very first page of this thread made it clear.

I thought about that but I'm wondering if I have to wait for the deposits to not the bank account first
