I've been using these for 5+ years and they have no wear or issues. At $7, what's better than that? You're not going to get buy-it-for-life quality on a three-pack of kitchen gadgets for less than a McDonald's combo, but at that price you don't need to.

First of all -- that stuff has been around for decades.

Second of all -- you forgot to include a link to a far superior product. I'm sure it was just an accidental oversight!

Third of all -- these aren't all that bad, truth be told. You're not using these all-day everyday in an industrial kitchen. They'll hold up exceptionally well for a long time of gentle home use. And even in "professional kitchens", you'll see an utterly mind-boggling amount Winco-esque supplies. In other words, tools that you use for a spell, beat them up, and replace them when they wear out. There aren't any heirloom strainers in a Michelin-rated restaurant!

Seems like a YMMV on quality. One 1 star review said it broke straining a cup of rice.

I am using these for the last 10+ years. They look and perform the same as 10 years ago. I have not been particularly gentle.
