It's not for the layperson. It's for people that like tinkering with the nuts and bolts of their phones. Kind of like Linux vs Windows. I have the 2023 moto g power, and it's a good budget phone. It's probably not a snappy as as expensive phones and the camera is nothing special, but it does all I need it to.

Since it was a price change on their own website (and likely due to it being within a week of my order), yes they adjusted for me. Not sure what their actual policy is.

Which is good they did the adjustment since I'd gotten it with the 2 year protection plan and returning it likely makes that a pain.

A very good phone. We use this as via google so our google home phone number is always with us. When we go to Gatlinburg we use it as the home phone and also when we go back to Orlando.

Could this be a good backup phone? I plan to upgrade my iPhone 14 Pro Max to iPhone 17 Pro Max and cancel my iPhone 14 Pro Max for at least a $350 instead of keeping it as a backup and maybe use this as a backup at $124. Any thoughts any advice?
