I have this, use it when I am on the road for work, primarily for playing video games in hotel rooms. Really blown away at what this tiny machine is capable of for gaming. 1080p 60hz works great for newer games, utilizing upscaling in most cases. Emulation is also great, Xbox 360, PS3 and Switch games perform great. Bare bones kit was super simple to set up, 32gb of ddr5 ram and two 2tb nvme drives- simple screwdriver, 10 minutes of your time, and an OS installation drive- you'll be up and running.

spec wise, I would say this is probably comparable to an Xbox Series S without being bound to the Microsoft/Xbox store and ecosystem. but also fits on the palm of your hand.

Bare bone looks tempting until you look up ddr5 prices. Better to just get the complete system unless you got extra ram laying around
