This is a Free 2 months trial for those members who do not have a Paid membership right now. They may have been a paid member in the past. But not current or cancelled recently.

I have used a Free trial in the past and was a paid subscriber for a while. Haven't been a paid subscriber for over a year.

No go for me, my prepaid membership expired last month. I was surprised to see 4 free months on the landing page OP posted, but when I proceeded and the logged in, it said not available for me.

No. it is a Free 2 months trial for those who do not have a paid membership right now.

Not correct. They do not give you another free trial membership if you have belonged before.

The catch is you have to set up payment directly to spotify to get 2 free months, not through google play.

Also, this or 4-month trial for "new" members 🤔

haven't tried that. but if you go through the motion to cancel the membership, it'll usually tell you when the effective date of cancellation.

I would put Google Calendar reminder couple of time in the final week of the Free trial to cancel the membership.
