Amerzon should be careful. The "select" is probably on sale because people select to skip it and just go to Walmart's streamers.. Amerzon could find they made a huge mistake if folks reject this product. I reject it completely.

The fact that it just came out and it's at $10 means nobody wants it.

Even though people are moving to other Google devices, word is that Google is also going to limit sideloaded apps in 2026, but I bet that jailbreaking could circumvent Google's efforts. Time will tell. Regardless, piracy will only increase as these streamers are just increasing prices in the face of low employment and inflation. The threshold for convenience vs. cost has been exceeded IMO. Netflix and the other streamers just made cord cutting ridiculous where people are paying over cable prices to get all the content.
My buddy told me that with a PC, it is practically open season for piracy..."a lot of sites". However, it probably won't fly with the wife or kids to have to jump through the hoops to get content, so there will always be paying subscribers.
