Low power processor, albeit too old at this price point, for many. Other stats somewhat make up for that though.

Kamrui is misspelled in the Title, but not much of an impact on Search/Notification function, so not a priority.

They are basically placing these against Alder Lake N series SOCs like N97, N100 and N150. These still offer over 30% to 40% more performance while consuming slightly more power, have stronger integrated Graphics, Dual Channel memory support (N series only supports single channel), more PCIe Lanes for storage and other peripherals.

Too old for the price. Better off getting a 5800u or 6800u for a little bit more.

Im using this for home assistant instead of raspberry PI. To get a raspberry plus case and ssd I'm looking for the same price for less performance

It's not intendent for offering more performances for more money but being offered as a better performing alternative to Intel N series based Mini PCS.

Without any issue. 4K video decoding is not really a challenge for modern CPUs for a long time.

Any recommendations for an HTPC? Currently using a Bosgame N95 with only 8GB of RAM running Kodi since April 2023 without issue. Will the Ryzen 5 in this thread use more power?

Yes, slightly more power will be used. For HTPC usae, you can restrict the Processor to use up to 12W to 15W, using Windows Power Profile or a tons of thrid party Free tools like x86 Tuning Utility. You will get around 30% to 40% higher performance for that. For HTPC usage, it is capable enough as it can decode H264 and H265 codec on hardware and supports up to 8K resolution.

This is the processor that is in the $300 Motile laptop from Walmart in 2019.
